INSURANCE
If you have insurance, please notify the
insurance department at the time of registration. The
handling of claims varies depending upon the type of coverage,
however, all form preparation is completed on a daily
basis and sent directly to the insurance company.
All claim forms are prepared automatically. |

BLUE
CROSS/BLUE SHIELD
Kearney Clinic participates with Blue Cross and Blue Shield
of Nebraska, and PPO Nebraska. We will file a claim for you.
Payment from BCBS will be made directly to Kearney Clinic. BCBS
will provide you with an Explanation of Benefits (EOB) showing
charges, the amount covered by your particular policy, and payments
made directly to Kearney Clinic on your behalf. If BCBS only
pays a portion of your bill, the remaining balance due is your
responsibility.
Kearney Clinic also participates with Midlands Choice Insurance.
MEDICARE
We will be happy to assist with credit questions and problems
in a private atmosphere. Besides providing needed support, we
are also familiar with the various agencies who might offer
assistance and are qualified to explain how bank financing may
help ease a temporary financial problem. If you have questions
concerning your bill, contact Patients Accounts at 865-2141.
MEDICAID
The Kearney Clinic will provide necessary assistance in the
event that application for Medicaid benefits is needed.
WORKER'S COMPENSATION
Workmen's Compensation charges are added to the patient's personal
account. These charges are identified as employer related and
are removed at the time the insurance reimbursement is received
at Kearney Clinic. Please tell us your employer at the time
of treatment. Upon completion of care, the patient should instruct
the Clinic's insurance department to file the necessary claim
form. |
